Description

Let me just start off by saying that I’m a nerd. There, I said it. But I’m the kind of nerd that’s not a huge fan of sports. I know that there are nerds out there who know all of the big league players and their stats and stuff like that, but I just don’t care.

However, most nerds can agree that even when football/basketball/hockey/horse polo isn’t so exciting by itself, the Cheerleaders are always something to behold. Cheerleaders provide a service in sports which is to provide sex appeal to a game; something that a bunch of big sweaty guys running into each other at high speeds can’t seem to produce on their own. I know that cheerleaders have a special place in the hearts of macrophiles because I periodically see giantess cheerleaders.

So that gives me a greenlight to talk about them.

First, I want to give you some history. Because why not? Haven’t you ever wondered where Cheerleading originated? Turns out, according to Google, the first Cheerleaders arose in 1898 during a University of Minnesota football game. You may be surprised to hear this, but the first cheerleaders were dudes: a medical student named Johnny Campbell assembled a team to rally cheers for the audience during the game. It wasn’t until 1923 that women were allowed to become cheerleaders, again starting at the University of Minnesota. Even then, it wasn’t until the 40s that there were full teams of female cheerleaders since most of the men were off at war.

Now can you imagine a team of cheerleaders who are all dudes? Just 10 years ago, that would have been considered “nontraditional” and “really gay.” But that’s just how things happened back then. I’m kinda glad that most cheerleaders are women nowadays though: because that means there’s something for me to enjoy about football.

So let’s discuss what makes a giant Cheerleader so awesome.

I’ll start with the basics: the Size. That’s right; here in the GTS community, size makes everything better. Do you like hamburgers? Well guess what: that hamburger was just super-sized. Now it’s 5 times better. Do you drive a Kia Rio? Would you be surprised if I told you that with a pinch of dark magic, we turned it into a Hummer H1? You’re welcome.

Everything's better with size. Especially Cheerleaders. Imagine a team of cheerleaders and one of them is 100 feet tall. You could do all sorts of interesting cheers like have the biggest one lay down and let the rest of them do a dance routine on her lower back. Maybe you only need one giant cheerleader to do a routine and the rest of them can just sit it out. That’s fine as well. She’s already taking up a good section of the side-lines anyway, and it’s probably difficult for fans to ignore her presence.

Next, we’ll talk about uniform. With some slight variations in the color palette, they’re usually not much different from place to place. The ideal cheerleader uniform however is one with a tight fitting top (hopefully with a team logo or a cheerful statement on it) and a really short miniskirt. Cheerleaders often times come with pom-poms too that match their color palette but they’re not really necessary. And sometimes they may even have megaphones, but when you’re a giantess, you don’t really “need” a megaphone.

Finally, what makes a giantess cheerleader so great is the spirit. That’s right, because we could all use a little bit more spirit in our lives. The purpose of a cheerleader isn’t just to bounce around and be hot, which may come as a surprise to many people. They’re supposed to add a sense of spirit to the atmosphere of the game! I believe that good cheerleaders continue to do this even when they’re not at a game.

So imagine if you will a massive giantess wearing a bright pink bikini walking through a city. With each step, she crushes dozens of buildings, killing hundreds of people. After awhile, she proceeds to lie down, flattening most of the city beneath her. Then she laps at the undamaged urban sprawl like a hound; slurping up countless homes and people who didn’t ask for it. She rolls around for a bit, laughing as she rubs the debris all over herself. Once every single section of the city is devastated and not a single building stands, she gets up and leaves to go do whatever it is that giantesses do on their time off.

Now, that may sound interesting to a GTS fan, but there is something lacking. There’s just not a lot of vigor in the air. Sure, it’s cool that she’s crushing things, but most giantesses do that. Check out this scenario and observe the difference.

There’s a football game going on in the Macro.com Arena downtown. It’s the Knights versus the Rooks (two fictitious teams, by the way) and the Rooks appear to be winning. Filled with vigor at the fact that her team is exceeding so easily, Cheer Captain Macy beings cheering even harder, jumping up and down in the air as she shakes her pom poms. “Go, Rooks! Go, Rooks, go!” She cries with joy as the Linebacker scores a touchdown (can linebackers score touchdowns? I dunno: I don’t sports often.)

The sudden flush of energies ignites an ancient gene within Macy. Her family lineage traces back to a race of size changing godlike women who ruled the world thousands of years ago. Any history of their existence has been erased, so Macy knows nothing about them. But that doesn’t stop the genes. In the final quarter with both teams tied, the Quarterback is running down the field with the ball in his arms. “Go, go, go! Woo!” Macy shouts as she jumps up and down. This climax of energy activates the gene and causes her entire body to rocket upwards into the sky. Within seconds, she’s skyscraper sized and able to see for miles. However, she’s still in cheering mode, so she’s hopping up and down right on top of the stadium just was just inside: crushing it into dust.

She doesn’t notice though because she’s just so full of energy. “Rooks are number one! Rooks are always fun!” She cheers as she dances around the city, stomping gleefully on low level buildings and knocking over any building her height. Finally, she notices what’s going on. No longer is she a cute little cheer captain: there are now cars crashing into her toes, barely scraping them. Her spirited energy mixes with her instinct to dominate everything smaller than her and she smiles brightly. All around her are gray and blue buildings: the exact same color of the knights. She knows exactly what to do.

“Go home, Knights! You know you’re gonna lose! Cause the Rooks are coming to give you all a bruise!” she cheers as she runs around, kicking over buildings and pushing over towers. At one point she reaches down, scoops up a whole handful of hundreds of tiny tourists and holds them eye-level.

“Let me show you what the Rooks are gonna do to the Knights!” She exclaims and she opens her mouth and happily lets all those tourists fall from her palm down into her open gullet. After swallowing them up, she proceeds to do her finisher: run across the city, jump up, and land with a split the crushes the nearby University of Carlsberg (home of the Knights.)

“Woo-hoo! Rooks win!” she exclaims as she begins to pant and sweat from all that action. The effect wears off and she starts to shrink back to normal size. But by the time that happens, most of the city has been destroyed already.

So did you notice a difference between what happened with the generic giantess and the cheerleader giantess? Well, for one thing it was a longer story and there were more sports references, but you can also see that the generic giantess lacked a certain tone. She came, destroyed, and left. The Cheerleading giantess had purpose and energy: a strong sense of determination and nobody could ever stop her.

I think that really becomes a metaphor for sports fans in general. I’m not big on sports, but I’ve always noticed that they have a strong sense of passion and emotion behind what they love. They’ll scream at a television for half an hour, or burn a couch, or do something crazy like that to really illustrate how much they care about the game. And in my mind, I find that if we incorporated that kind of energy into everything we did, it would surely be a different society.

But for now, I honestly believe more giantesses should have the kind of energy that the Cheerleader has.

Because they’re able to destroy, raise spirits, and look good doing it.

Well, the character in the pic is mentioned in the description and kind of her back story as well. Macy has a dormant gene in her passed down from generation to generation all the way back to a forgotten time in ancient history where giant women ruled the world. So she's able to activate her growth gene whenever she's filled with a ton of passion and energy.

So yeah, that tends to happen at sports a lot.

Well, as part of her ancient background, she does have an instinct to crush the enemy. So if she does grow, then she'll probably just crush anybody on the other team...or any fans of that team.

But that happens very rarely.

That giantess reminds me of Ayase Alisa from Love Live! School Idol Project.

Really? I guess I can see why you'd say that. Macy's hair is a bit more sandy though.

But it's neat that you'd make that connection. Thanks for your thoughts!

Of course not! I've wanted to do the cheerleaders profile for awhile now.

Thanks!

Well I love the giantess cheerleader's design here and hope to make her an OC sometime. Heck that giantess in the bright pink bikini sounds like a good idea as well.

Eh, I'm not sure if she'll ever be an OC, but she is a really neat character. I do like that compared to some of my characters who have dyed hair and unusual outfits, hers is more simple but still interesting.

Thanks!

Your welcome and hmmm well if she were to be an OC. I think itll be great. After all. She could be either a friend to Storm who well is a giant or was grown by accident or secretly a goddess.

Macy would probably be a cheerleader at Storm's college, that's the best I can think of. But yeah, I'll consider doing more with her in the future.
