Description
In today's modern age, artificial intelligence is everywhere. Computers, smart phones, televisions, sensors in hand dryers: we can find thinking machines in most homes. Even though AI isn’t perfect, right now it’s more advanced than it has ever been. The most sophisticated robots can now recognize human faces, communicate with basic speech patterns, and even navigate on their own through an unfamiliar environment. So since this is how far technology has come, nerds like me have free range to dream up crazy fantasies where one day we can have our very own mechanical dog, or giant walking mech suit, or even sexy robot girlfriend.
And if you’re anything like me, a 50 foot tall sexy robot girlfriend would be just as cool, if not cooler than, a 50 foot tall giant walking mech suit.
If we can go a bit deeper, you know what would be even more amazing than that? A 50 foot tall robot girlfriend who let’s you climb inside of a cockpit in her chest and you can pilot her around. That would be freaking sick! Especially if she could shoot laser beams out of her eyes. Now that’s my kind of mech suit.
But I digress.
Today, we’ll be discussing the robot GTS which is another feature to the Sci-fi giantess list, right up there with the Alien who was also a popular profile. Before we dive into discussing what the perfect robotic beauty of unbelievable size would be, we’re first going to talk about exactly what kind of robot we’re thinking of. Because there are tons of different kinds of robot. If you follow certain people’s description of what a “robot” is, you’d be lead to believe that a toaster is a robot.
For now, we’re going to describe a robot as being a fully mechanical humanoid figure capable of independant thought, free movement, communication, and basic survival skills. So in short, a robot that doesn’t exist yet in real life. But this is fiction, so let’s go all out. Specifically, we’ll be focusing on female robots. We will also exclude disembodied AI such as Watson and Siri, because they may be smart but they don’t have a nice body to go along with it.
A robot that very closely resembles the female figure in fiction is known as a “gynoid.” It is also used to describe a specific body type, but we’re not going to discuss that. Most people in modern times apply the term “android” to humanoid robots regardless of gender. The suffix “andr” is actually masculine, while “gyn” is feminine. Consider this when thinking about women-related things such as “gynecology” the study of women, or a “gynarchy” which is a government run fully by women. So if you saw a robot with breasts and you thought “android,” you were wrong.
If you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve been repeatedly marking out characteristics that all robots share so that we can really understand the specifications behind a gynoid. A Replicant, such as Rachel from Bladerunner or Curie from Fallout 4, is not a Gynoid because they are too human. The most common trait of replicants is that they bleed organic blood, have very human emotions, and typically do not contain large amounts of steel and/or gears. I do believe that there is a point in fiction when a robot can be so human that they are no longer a robot, and therefore no longer a gynoid.
Two great examples of what I’m talking about when I think of gynoids are Chii (Chobits) and Mira (Dimension W) who both feature a mixture of robot and human qualities. They both possess cute, girly faces while at the same time have artificial projections come out of their heads (Chii’s wire cases and Mira’s antennae.) Though they communicate like normal humans, they process thoughts in a way not unlike that of a computer program. They have soft, warm human-like skin but if you were to talk a razor blade to it (and I hope that you wouldn’t,) you’d find that on the inside there is plenty of sharp metal pieces and electricity to be found.
Two more good examples of gynoids in anime are Solty (Solty Rei) and Penny (RWBY) though Penny strays closer to being a Replicant. Also, before I go any further, cyborgs don’t count. Which means that the 5 major characters in Gunslinger Girl technically aren’t gynoids.
So now you have a basic idea of what a gynoid is: a robot that looks like a human woman but still exhibits robotic traits. And that’s just what we’re looking for in this profile. Now, robots can really be any size: they can be as small as nanobots or as big as freaking Mass Effect Reapers or something. Huge. In some fictitious prose, you can even find planet sized robots.
Now let’s talk about Mechs. If you ever seen Gurren Lagann or played Titanfall, you’ll know that mechs are, as the cool kids say it nowadays, “double-plus good.” They’re big, they’re bad ass, and they kick ass. But the important thing that separates a mech suit from power armor is their size. Mechs can be between 50 to 250 feet tall (unless you’re a character in Gurren Lagann, then they can be even bigger than that!) Tons of sci-fi societies and civilizations use mechs and walkers that big to combat the threats of the future such as anarchists, aliens, and global warming. That’s right, if you fire enough proton rockets out of a missile pack on a mech at the sky, you will fix global warming. I have a diagram that proves it.
But if a civilization can design giant 100 foot tall mech warriors, then what’s stopping them from creating 100 foot tall gynoid warrior? I can totally see it, especially if the society is ruled by a gynarchy!
Come with me now: we’re about to have story time as I illustrate for you a future where nations have not only designed the perfect giantess robot, but also employs her in combat situations. And don’t worry, this sci-fi story will feature all the hackneyed cliches you grew up with.
So the year is 1999 (pretend I’m writing this in 1970 and that’ll make more sense) and cities have grown so big that they basically have become their own nations, ruled by mega corporations that aren’t the most ethically clean. The air is polluted and it rains acid all the time, but the cars hover and you can get a cool robot arm to replace your old one. To combat the growing population of anarchists who claim to be “oppressed by big business,” the corporation known as “Black Inc.” has taken the newest version of the robot sex slave that’s selling so well on the market and turned it into a combat unit. That sounds liked it would work, right? I mean, the current most expensive model, affectionately known as “Ada,” is programmed to do whatever her master tells her to do. So if you graft a minigun onto her right arm and tell her to shoot minorities with it, that should solve the anarchist problem, right?
The situation escalates when you bring into account that a black-ops scientist defected from a top secret science program being coordinated in a bunker 30 miles beneath the Black Inc. HQ and he sold an experimental growth formula to the leader of the anarchists. Now they have the ability to create concoctions that, once drunk, will make them grow to 100 feet tall! But it only works on women because...uh...the Y chromosome in men cancels out the effects? Let’s go with that.
So they need to create a model that’s 100 feet tall. You’re probably wondering “hey, why don’t they just use trained female mercenaries like every other corrupt mega corporation and give them that grow-juice too?” Simple: you don’t have to pay a robot. And also, Black Inc. only employs robots to work there anyway. So the CEO drops a ton of money to get his best science guys to rebuild the “Ada” model as a giantess fighting machine.
Their first successful prototype is Exa: an 86 foot tall combat gynoid who has a 150 millimeter cannon for an arm and also jet boosters built into her feet. She’s also capable of talking, but her voice is very synthesized. Despite being a robot, she does have a personality: Exa is a quiet and shy individual who is curious about this new world she is in. She observes the scientists working on her as much as they observe her. And overtime she learns to have compassion for innocent humans who are often times hurt by the marauding giantesses who run rampant in the lower districts of the megapolis: crushing shantytowns and eating homeless people left and right like they’re jelly beans.
So Exa is deployed into the battlefield, going from district to district, having all-out gunfights with other giants. Though she normally shoots down the enemy GTS in the end, both of them running around in heavily populated urban centers tends to cause a pretty hefty amount of collateral damage. But in the end, the anarchist is dead so there shouldn’t be an issue, right?
In between missions, Exa spends time in her bedroom especially made for her in the middle of the underground science bunker. She likes to interact with some of the scientists that she’s taken a liking to as well as watch old movies on the holographic television and play with old vehicles that the CEO gives her for birthday presents.
After around 10 years of fighting, technology has improved even more and Black Inc has created the perfect Replicant! They now begin producing robots that look, feel, talk, and think exactly like humans. But for some reason they’re still considered robots and therefore are subhuman. Black Inc takes the initiative and designs a whole new line of giantess Replicant soldiers who surpass Exa’s skills. They begin fighting the anarchists while Exa finds herself being called to the battlefield less and less often. Scientists stop looking at her like a beautiful creation of the future and more like a relic from the past. Black Inc soon after disposes of her.
But luckily for her, an old friend who was able to pull some strings prevented her from behind dismantled for parts. Instead she just got tossed in a junkyard a mile outside of the city and ends up living in a pile of old rusted scrap metal and busted up cars while she too begins to rust away.
Now this may sounds like a sad ending, but trust me: it’s no ending. Because we cut to present day 2016 when two Jersey boys with a couple hundred dollars come to the junkyard looking to purchase and fix up a sweet new ride so they can cruise around town and pick up a ton of chicks. But when they walk in and see a 100 foot tall mechanized beauty sitting there in the middle of the junkyard with a curious look in her eyes, you could say that it was love at first sight.
She may not be a Mustang, but you’re not going to find a cooler ride anywhere else. And trust me, chicks dig giant robots.
Or at least, I dig giant robot chicks.
I think that’s what I’m really trying to say.

Really neat concept! Robot chicks are great, add size to that and it's even better! Glad to see someone else had this idea too!

Of course! And yeah, robot girls are awesome!
Between you and me, I'm planning to start making a new series surrounding shipgirls that are mechanical and also the size of actual ships. I'll maybe share more on that front when I've got more to show for it than just a raw idea.

how would she react to seeing a giant robot man?

Well, most giant robots her size are of the shape of what you'd think a giant mech would look like; angular, box shaped, quasi-humanoid, stuff like that. Though, if she saw a giant robot that was humanoid and male, she might not think much of him. She'd probably just assume that he was of a similar structural build.
Why do you ask?

It might have been, actually. I can't remember.
I do remember that we called Homework the "fun papers." That was strange.
And most of the kids wore blue overalls. But that's about it that I recall though.

More like hour and a half. I hated every minute of that class.
But as for the part where we hate someone in particular and not just the class itself, yeah: it was probably 2 minutes. Might have been 3.

I'm surprised that you even got that reference in the text to be honest.
I sprinkle in little random references in all of my Profiles. People normally don't point them out though, which makes me kinda sad. Cause I forget that I wrote them and when I go back to re-read them, it totally surprises me the small stuff I added in every once in a while.

Well that's kind of true about everyone's body. But if she controls it from a distance than that's a little different. That might mean that she's a disembodied AI. But while she's in control of that body, yeah, she's a gynoid.
