Would you like to share your secret of getting a clear photo of the moon? I am having the utmost difficulty with it.

I do the picture with different Shutter speed and ISO. And when you are shaking to much then take tripod for it. Maybe it will help you

I understand the tripod part.. You don;t use flash or anything, do you?
How high does your shutter/ISO go?

I haven't used a flash because the picture will be to bright. I have only used the Canon Lens with 300 mm nothing more.
My Canon have a ISO from 100 to 1600 and shutter speed from 1/4000 to 30".
The best you can do is to take the picture of the moon, when the sky isn't to dark.

Ah, okay.. Would I want to have a high or lower ISO/shutter speed? Higher?

It's different! Most I use first the normal ISO/Shutter and then I change it, until the picture is clear enough.
