Elliptic-Splits, tiled then split again, then tiled again and linked to a bipolar, which was split again and then added wang tiles to fill in the gaps.Had some problems with noise in the image that I haven't been able to work out, probably due to the number of linked xforms.

Nice. Would it help against noise to just render larger (and more iterations/quality of course) and then shrink it?

Usually that helps, I rendered this one at 6000x3000 at around 8,000 quality and the preview image is significantly downsized. I let a cropped version of this image render overnight to 26,000 quality and it wasn't much better.
