[link]why does everyone hate Xion?? She's not that bad! Annoying at times but I feel sorry for her :'C
I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days lately and I'm almost done the game xD it's been too long since I started...

Amazing, I use ink, copic and prisma markers, and yeah the colourless blenders can be a bitch sometime. hate those.

She's my favorite KH girl, to be honest. And I think she's the most beautiful, as well. I feel so sorry for her and wish she hadn't died. But since she had to die, I at least wish it hadn't been as brutal as it was. Xion didn't deserve that at all.

I feel the exact same way. Even though she appeared and then died in the same game, she's my favorite KH girl :'C She has such a sad theme song but so beautiful...it really got me when I first heard it and it really fits into her character

Personally? Xion rocks. She's one of my favorite female characters, though I think it's because Days was the first KH game I ever played. I think it's sad that there's so much hate for her, and I think it's primarily because of yaoi fangirls annoyed at her getting in the way-like Larxene (who I also really like).

I hadn't thought of that xD yaoi ruining Xion, but I think that people hate her because she seemed too rushed. She pretty much appears and then dies at the end of the game. It's so depressing but it really pulled heart strings xD

I don't understand the hate towards Xion, I agree with the fact her character was rushed, and that maybe 358/2 deserves a remake so they can put more work into her character. They say she's a mary sue, but her character doesn't even come within the definition. I can agree with some parts of the gameplay being irritating, but she's all around a good character, and she can fight! Namine is a good character, although she doesn't fight, and Kairi only does so in a cutscene. The fact a girl can fight, while promote emotional feelings towards her is fine by me.
And.. I ask the haters once more, especially those who reacted pretty much the same way during Aerith's death in FF7, and merely call it a plot device.... How the f#@% would you react?! If I lost a close friend, it'd be a hard struggle to continue living, and also, Xion told Xemnas' true plans for Kingdom Hearts, he has a good reason to leave, in which Axel had no clue.

Personally I don`t think she was near a mary sue. I don`t even know why someone would say that. :C As for Namine, I don`t think her role was well explained. I`m still lost at what she is exactly xD and Kairi is just another damsel in distress who only decides to fight when her friends show up.(Kairi irritates me a bit)
Was Aerith`s death the same way? I desperately need to play FF. I haven't played any of the games but I know some of the characters. I should at least watch game walkthroughs :T
I understand that if it wasn`t for Xion, Roxas would have never left the organization for good. An important plot twist indeed but why such a short life?

I guess that increases the tragic factor, young people's deaths do increase the tragic factor because of the fact they were so young, and they forced another of their kind to kill them, even if it was for the greater good, it's still sad..

I don't think it was all that pointless. She fit really well into the story and tied things together a lot better than I had expected.

She also kinda messed up the whole roxas + namine thing they tried to pull off at the end of kh2.

I think the reason why people don't like her is because she felt too rushed. I mean, she's literally in 1 game, and, (MAJOR 358 SPOILERS) bam, she's dead by the end. She had a great story behind her, but Square Enix rushed her headfirst into the story, then killed her off immediately at the end of the game, so she sadly gets a little bit of a bad rap for that.
I mean, it could be worse... She could've been Hope from FFXIII and be annoying, whiny, AND have absolutely no real story whatsoever.

I used to really dislike Xion because it seemed like she was worming her way in as a sue, but I was eventually able to accept her as a character and I really like her. (Mostly I think her voice actress annoyed me but she's gotten better at voicing. I had the same problem with Aqua, but I got over that, too XP)
