Description
The long forgotten Marsh H1 4-4-2, built to haul long fast trains down to the Sea at Brighton. What a pleasant name for a town, Brighton is.Decorated with lamps and indicator boards and painted in chocolatey umber brown, these engines had a magic all their own that has captivated my heart for years.

Thank you.
This design should have been used for the East Indian railway. Broad gauge marsh atlantics in spicy reddish brown....mmmmm
and the headcodes they would have...

Yessss.
Also, I'd do so many things to see a seven foot gauge British Atlantic.

I prefer the H2, but either one is nice. They bear a more than striking resemblance to the C1s though.

they are marginally more powerful and they make slightly more steam as well.
There needs to be an H1 1/2, with the continuous running board like on an H2. I also like the big buffers on the H2, and I like the fact that she has superheating and Pistonvalves. The H1's were archaic even in their time, saturated boilers with big pistonvalves, the only difference was a high pressure boiler for that time (200 Psi)

Ah, I see. I hope the H2 locomotive society gets that replica in steam soon, and in 'Umber Brown' soon, it looks fantastic.
I also like the running board setup on the H2, although I think it makes the H1s look more unique.

Yep! Although I think the tender from the C1 looks a bit nicer, but I'm not sure why, maybe it's just more suited to it's livery.
