Description
I found the basic animation function in my program (though apparently my version only lets me do 25 frames) and thought I'd try the first animation exercise recommended for people who have never animated before: the bouncing ball. The struggle was real - it's even harder than it looks and I already thought animation looked crazy hard. Even more respect for people who can animate.

Haha, great idea to make bouncing ball exercise more interesting by making it "ballcat", since basics can be boring ^^
Animation is really nice, you succeeded to keep ballcat volume consistent, it's something many people mess up or so I've hear, I sure messed that up (and it wasn't even the only thing haha). Shadow looks a bit off; it looks like it moves separately. I think the reason is because ballcat comes down fast, but shadow don't take into account the speed of the ballcat. I'm not sure if I'm just seeing things since I'm super tired haha :3 Anyway, other than that I didn't notice any other things that are worth mentioning, I think this is nice way of making basics more fun for yourself and for others, though it can make things more challenging haha. Oh, and hopefully I didn't sound that I was nitpicking, that wasn't my intention :3
If you are interested, there are old free (and legal) version of Flash that you can get, here's video tutorial how to get it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXvZUq… ^^

Thank you for the critique and the flash link! I think you might be right, I've been staring at the ballcat for so long that I'm going cross-eyed lol. I'll keep that in mind if I make another animation

No problem! Haha, yeah, I know what you mean, I bump into it way too often, breaks can do wonders (and not just for animations), but when you are excited it's not something you think about If you want to push your animation skills further then I recommend you make these simple practices (maybe put your spin to it like you did here) and try to understand the basics and go further when you feel comfy, you'll have easier time when you want to make exciting things later on ^^
