This is a macro taken of what I at first thought was a pre-ripe cherry tree. I quickly went in for a closeup when I noticed a really cool looking insect. It flew away after shortly I snapped one, so I was really glad that my photo turned out alright. If anybody knows the name of this type of beetle (if it's even a beetle at all) Please give me a shout here... I'd really like to know.
And for those who want to know, I did'nt do any editing on this image except for the framing.

Well, the preset functions of my camera are next to useless but yes. Doing macro/close up shots make me really happy when they turn out well.

My new camera has Macro and Super-macro.. I have a few bee shots in my gallery that I literally have the lens less then a couple centimeters from the bee

haha I took a picture of that same insect and have been wondering myself what it's called. I nicknamed it 'Superbug' [link] cause it looks like it's wearing a cape.
