Description
Character:Soren Crowley
Horse:
Mourning Cinder
------
I don't know why it's so hard to figure out how big Soren is supposed to be compared to Mourning Cinder; I keep depicting them at different sizes I feel like XD Cinder's withers would be a bit over Soren's head while standing beside one another, but that's really difficult to gauge when she's actually in the saddle. Cinder looks shorter than she is here because of the snow, but I think I made Soren too big anyways lol.
------
Soren had spent considerable time trying and failing to get the blood stains off of Cinder's old tack set. She could afford to just buy new tack, but she wasn't sure if it was safe to head back into town yet after what happened back in summer, and she would hate to see an otherwise perfectly good - and well decorated - tack set go to waste.
Quillan eventually had taken notice of her struggle, and offered to help. Apparently he knows how to get blood stains out of things, and took the time to teach her how; it was certainly useful knowledge! She could have simply asked him earlier, but she didn't know he knew how to get the stains out in the first place. She supposed she ought to learn to ask for help in general, instead of simply struggling by herself for so long. She'd spent a long time living alone after her parents had passed, so she was used to just doing everything herself.
It had been snowing for days now, without signs of stopping. Ever since they got Cinder's tack all nice and clean, Soren's been really itching to get in the saddle. Although the weather wasn't ideal, she simply couldn't wait any longer and took Cinder out for a ride anyway.
The original plan was to stay in the arena since this would be her first time riding the mare, however with the heavy snowfall, she didn't see much point in clearing the knee-deep snow if she was only going to have to do it over again later. It'd be more fun to ride in the vast snowy fields that surrounded the manor anyways, and maybe if all went well, she'd bring Cinder to the woods and enjoy the scenery a bit.
