This is a night shot, which I dont' usually do, but I liked the action here. My husband's back is in the bottom left corner in flannel. This is a feastival in Kunigami, and here men are carrying platfroms with three girls each on them to represent the southern army and the northern army battling in Japan. We were on the North side, but here is a shot where we are meeting in the middle for battle. Those who weren't carrying the platform carried lanterns on sticks of varying sizes, which was tough because it was very windy. (Typhoon season).
