Description My husband and I set off to Okinawa, Japan for our honeymoon, and took part in the Okinawa Uchinanchu Feastival. This celebration takes place every five years and commemorates the homecoming of native Okinawan's who live in other countries. A city-wide tug-o-war is held in Naha during the feastival with a rope ten times bigger around than I am. This picture was taken during the aftermath of the tug of war, with these taiko players waiting to preform. The man looks very somber and traditional, while the kids under his feet are chattering and sitting.
