Personality/bio/story:

Hocus Pocus lives and breaths Halloween. Being a bit odd herself, she has always felt a special connection to the ghoulish joys of Halloween and everything surrounding the holiday. Hocus Pocus's past is a complete mystery, she simply showed up one night. Living out in the darkest parts of Blooming Woods, Hocus Pocus alienates herself from the rest of the community. Happy being by herself where she is less likely to be disturbed or judged for how she lives. She has no real friends and is content to keep it that way. Lucky for her she doesn't exactly have to chase off visitors with a stick. Most keep their distance on their own. Was it her haunted looking abode? Nestled amongst sinister looking trees, with windows that illuminated with eerie lights that kept them at bay? Was it her odd comings and goings in the middle of the night? The beautiful, yet unearthly, song she was known to sing out into the night? Perhaps it was all the tall tells spun by nervous parents. How she was an evil witch that used her song to entrance her victims back to her home where she turned them into jack-o-lanterns, never to be seen again. Her personal favorite is the warning parents give their naughty children, that if they did not behave and do as they were told that she would get them, plucking them from their beds in the night, cooking them in her cauldron before gobbling them up.

But in their defense it isn't like Hocus Pocus gives them much of a chance to see her in a different light. Seems she has a strong tendency for mischief and tricks. Pulling pranks indiscriminately on her fellow Fluffers whenever the chance arises. She is also known to place hexes and curses on Fluffers she doesn't like or those she sees fit for punishment. But whether she actually does this, or if the accusations are by Fluffers trying to stir the pot or those having particularly bad luck, is unknown. Most likely the former. If they only new what she did for them during the Halloween season.

Halloween being her calling and her life, Hocus Pocus spends a majority of the year preparing for this one night of spooky splendor. Decorations, pumpkins, treats, all made by paw. And who does she make these for? Oddly enough the very Fluffer community she pranks, curses (allegedly) , and avoids. This one night of the year Hocus Pocus dons a white sheet, (dressing up as a ghost to hide her identity) and throws a huge Halloween party in the middle of the meadows. With pumpkins, games and prizes, a variety of treats, the works. It is the one night she actually mingles with the locals and shares her true love with others. Perhaps she does this because she wishes for all to share in something she feels so strongly for. Or maybe, just maybe, Halloween is the only time she feels comfortable enough to be social. So far the locals haven't been able to deduce who the ghost dressed Fluffer is, enjoying themselves too much to put much thought into the identity of their host. When the celebration is over she disappears back into the forest to start her preparations for next year.

Extras:

- The haunting song she sings isn't to ensnare innocent victims. Its a song she uses when she is out "harvesting". She sings the melody to calm the forest creatures so she can "harvest" ingredients from them (Fang of bat, slime of toad, hair of wolf, that sort of thing.) with as little stress as possible to the animal. Aaaaaand maybe she sometimes does it for fun, knowing it scares her "neighbors".

- Cares for any stray black cat that may happen upon her home. (Which, oddly, turns out to be quite a lot.) Which she'll feed on cold nights and often name. Because of this she tends to have a few cats roaming around her haunted looking abode every once in a while. (That the community believe are her spies.) Cromwell, Tombstone, Beetle, Gypsy, Moon, Gloom, Raven, Silhouette, Nightshade, Omen, and Salem--just to name a few. Though she cares for the strays she helps, Hocus Pocus only has three true pets. Three black cats named Boo, Magic, and Mr. E (A play on the word mystery).

- Often exclaims, "Tricks and treats!!" in expressing either her delight in something or frustration.

- Many believe her to be over 100 years old, but who knows if this is true.

- Halloween may be Hocus Pocus's first and true love, but this Fluffer also has a strong devotion to mystery/crime novels. She reads as many as she can find, and even plays with the idea of creating her own mystery series centered around Halloween.
