Ngl, I feel… weirdly hyped for the new movie? Like, I thought about it, and now I’m not sure working on a movie BTS really excuses how screwy the Revelations Arc has been, but… I dunno. Maybe I’m just happy the plot isn’t dragging along so slowly anymore. Like I’ve said before, ignore the pacing and it’s… well it still has issues like Meggy getting treated like a main character while barely doing anything and the usual tonal confusion (are they trying to make cardboard boxes creepy??) but the plot is actually fairly captivating, somehow. The tease of the real world getting involved DEFINITELY contributes to that. Really, the whole meme cosmology lore thing- it has interesting concepts. The characters associated can be decently written without changing much. It just feels like it’d be better off as it’s own series separate from SMG4.
