No, your eyes do not deceive you - I have finally uploaded a piece of Sailor Moon fanart! Or rather, Sailor Mars to be specific. After hearing about it on Tumblr my sister and I had started watching the new Sailor Moon Crystal anime on Hulu last year, but we found it kind of boring, so a few months ago we tried out the original anime instead, and it was awesome! We're about halfway through the second series now, and I've discovered that Sailor Mars is still my favorite all these years after watching the goofy dubbed version on Cartoon Network. I guess this pic is a re-draw of her famous transformation scene more than anything original. I wanted to try out some different background and coloring techniques and I thought this fanart would be a good excuse for both. I'm also glad to say this turned out way better than the last time I drew Sailor Mars ...over 15 years ago!
