The annoyingly cute creature in the foreground is our newest addition, Ammy, who we are surmising is a sheltie/border collie cross. The very tired looking dude in the back is, of course, Strife who is learning that having a sister is tiring work.Okay, background on Ammy. We found her at the pound and learned that she was only 9 months old but had a litter of pups that were roughly 1 1/2 months old...yeah, do the math. She had obviously been at the pound for a while so that the pups could get fully weened, but didn't have much time left. To make her story even sadder, before they put the microchip in, they scanned her to double check and, yeah, she had a microchip. One of the animal control peeps said 'oh yeah, she's the one whose owners we contacted and said that they were fine with her being here...they didn't want her because she was pregnant'. Yeah, pretty shitty.
And yes, she is named after Amaterasu from Okami because Janus and I are nerdlings.
Anyway, give my baby luvins, folks, you know she's adorable!

Grah! My first responce was "She got another collie mix!" I was half right. XD How big is she, meaning tall? ^^ Shes adorable! and definately got that collie/sheltie face. DAW. I wanna hug the fluffy little thing!

Dawwww, thank you, Tracker! Yesh, it seems I can't stray away from those herding breeds, can I? She's a small/medium sized dog. Right now her head comes up to Strife's shoulder and he's regular rough collie height and 55 pounds. She's 30 pounds but horribly underweight. I think the heaviest she'd weigh would be 40 pounds or so. I think as far as body type, she's much more border collie than sheltie. She's got that sheltie mane though...whenever she's mad, she has a fan of fur that sticks out like 5 inches from the rest of her body. Hehhehe, she looks like a furry dinosaur or something.
What can I say, I'm a sucker for those sad collie eyes *cries*.
