Nobody knew that better than Kajitora as she watched the timberwolf with her old flame, spinning in and out of the multicolored beams of light at one of Atlanta's most popular gay friendly clubs. Wielder could say she didn't form attachments all she wanted to, but Kajitora could tell that the soft touches and grabs, the synchronized movements of hips and legs spoke more painful truths than the proud wolf would ever admit. The beardog swallowed her whiskey, letting the rough fire of the liquid quell her worry for her friend. Old fires are the hardest kind of warmth to ignore, and no one knew that better than the akita.
