I love this couple. Balto has always been one of my favorites. I have always loved Humphrey since alpha and omega first came out. Even more so with my new found love for Humphrey's voice actor; Justin Long.

Thanks so much!Β Lol, I'm a traditional media artist for the most part, so I guess my digital just kind of looks like that by habit.Β Box backgrounds are my favorite to work with because it's such a challenge to get the background and the characters to look like they work together with that framed space.Β
As for the bits, yeah, I was kinda weird about including the sheath at first, but I figured if Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron could do it, so could I.Β Really, I just got tired of people thinking my main OC was male just because she wasn't super femme, so I decided, fine, Imma throw sheaths on the males, and now tell me my sheathless woof looks like a guy.Β So, I guess over the years, it's just become easy for me.Β Totally respect your view though.

Ummmm, not that I really want to go to far into depicting as tastefully as possible anatomically correct male dogs in a cartoony fashion, but have you ever had a fluffy yet lanky and wolf breed of dog?Β I do, and without too much research into that part of the anatomy of said dog, yeah, that's about how it looks.Β Any other way you'd like to express your anger and resentment about how I DARE to pair Balto with another male dog?

I highly doubt you'd have bothered to comment on the size of the dog's sheath had it been Jenna in Humphrey's place.Β You say that you don't denounce homosexuality as long as it is applied to appropriate characters.Β Such stringent and simple rules you apply to a complex system which is sexuality amongst mammals.Β I think you'd be better off attacking the fact that Humphrey would have to get in a DeLorean with Marty in order to have his little tryst with Balto in the first place.Β Then you wouldn't have had to "lower" yourself by talking about the size of dog bulge and a homosexual relationship between two fictional characters.

I am sorry, but I don't see this.Β And I personally think that there ought to be a limit to how far someone would go in fan shipping.Β Turning two definitely heterosexual characters, from two different childrens' animated movies, into homosexual ones is, I think, in bad taste.Β This is not a diatribe against homosexuality, but one of respecting the characters as they are, and using some common sense in fan shipping.
I realize also that fans and artists have different tastes and sexual orientations.Β There is no condemnation in that either by me.Β And the art style itself is very, very nice.Β But a strong criticism of this sort of thing?Β Better believe it.Β And I don't apologize for that (though I expect the litany of callous and inane abuse because I was willing to post this...even THOUGH I have been respectful to the artist).
