Long overdue birthday gift for my lovey dovey, Lady Luthien Nightwolf. Dammit, girl, I always draw a goddamn horse for you, don't I? Anyways, it's Luthien after she returns to the lands of her birth in Middle Earth. Seems she's reached peace again, and we're all glad for it.Derwent coloursoft pencils, white gel pen, and sepia ink on bluish gray tinted parchment paper.

Thanks so much. Pencils used to be my medium of choice, but then I got a set of Copic markers, and my pencils started to collect dust. However, the look of pencil on colored parchment is just yummy, so getting the right paper oddly enough got me into my pencil case again.

I have to ask, what color pencils did you use for the trees themselves? I cant seem to find the right combination for trees like that, myself.

I think I used one of the dark browns and two of the warmer greys for the trunks. The whole piece was done with the derwent coloursofts. They are similar to Prismacolor pencils in quality, but they do not break as much, so they are less of a pain to work with.
