Character Bio
Skye is a purebred, three year old saluki (Wielder is 5 by the time she meets Skye in the storyline) whose parents were from some of the finest hunting stock one could ever hope to possess. This being said, Skye was not always a stray and has had her share of hard knocks, though she covers it up well with her "uptown girl" demeanor.

She came to Kahn's pack barely an adolescent, just as the old shepherd died, and his son, Arc, took his place as leader. She remembers little of Wielder other than her leaving and does not adjust well to Wielder coming back some three years later.

In the pack, she is a Captain. In charge of leading one half of the pack in Arc's absence or when dealing with something isn't important enough to warrant his direct command. The other half is the responsibility of Kajitora, the great red tora-ge akita ( [link] ). The only ones above the rank of Captain are Arc (the leader himself), and the Commander, Roman (a doberman).

Skye carries a torch for Arc, though she would never admit it as he has a mate, and she is comfortable sharing Kaji's title of one of the most prized dogs in the pack. When Wielder rejoins the pack, Skye is faced with the task of having to deal with the wild and unruly wolf. Slowly, her anger for the timberwolf becomes something else...

Important Physical Characteristics
Skye sports a lithe and slight frame, weighing 55 pounds. Her coat is slate grey and white with accents of mahogany and cream, often fading. Her eyes are light green and large. She carries herself with an aloof air and prides herself on her posture and conformation.

Personality
Loyal to Arc for taking her in as a pup, she has a hard time with the new feelings of disillusionment that she and many of her packmates share with his leadership since the arrival of the timberwolf, Wielder. Though she is steadfast and undying for the most part in her loyalty, she is intelligent and, while not outwardly questioning orders or authority, is a fast and deliberate judge of character. While she might be feminine, she is more than capable of handling herself in a fight, even against males twice her size. Quick to anger, prideful, and duty driven, but also has a rarely shown softer side.
