If anyone can appreciate a good laugh from Brer Rabbit, it's Brer Terrapin.Done for my mother for Christmas.
Characters are the copyright of all of the talented story tellers that brought their prior incarnations over from Africa and Joel Chandler Harris who made them into a part of Southern American heritage.
Done with various pens and prisma pencils on tinted cardstock.

Brer Terrapin is just fantastic....I love turtles so much! The most amazing detail here has to be the muscles in each of their arms....really fantastic! Great work!!!

First impression was from that story 'the Tortoise and the Hare', and that them getting along, they looked back on the race and laughed. Kinda touching in a 'good life' kinda way. Two old timers reminiscing about the old days, having a hearty laugh about that silly bet they had.
Of course, that was my first impression.
