I've always love her too ! She's so strong and we don't see her enough in the movie. I think it's a very interesign character. She has always protected the herd before Spirit can. When he's captured, she supports this role again ! More, she was worried for her son. This is a poor little mare e,_e

I honestly dislike the fact that Spirit is in captivity while the movie was all about his desire of freedom. This is the main reason that ticks me off (right before his new look...)

Yes, I've heard about that, too. It's due to copyright issues. But I think it's still odd. Even if Rain had a calmer personality, I don't think Spirit's and Rain's son would have let himself be caught. Who's taking care of the herd?
Maybe it's a good series for children who don't know Spirit. It's not a very popular movie (other than for example the Lion King everyone has heard of). At least I know a lot of younger girl's who don't know Spirit the movie. I'm sure those would enjoy the series.

It sounds logic... And I think Spirit will never let his son go in a town filled by humans ! He knows what they can do. Even if he had a cool experience with Little Creek, he's surely leery

I also think - of all movies who received a 3D remake - Spirit is probably the one which has the most potential. Just imagine the scene at the beginning with the herd of horses...or the part where Spirit is chased by cowboys and is running through the gorge with the pebbles flying at the viewer. Those scenes would be amazing in 3D!
