This painting is absolutely amazing! I instantly recognized who it was as soon as I scrolled down and glanced at it. When I ad a proper look I decided to write this. The likeliness to him is just uncanny. The highlighting and your skills with the colours are great, I don't think I'd ever have the patience to do something this detailed. The way you've blended the colours together to give it that photo-like appearance is my favourite part about this. I think the only bit that I noticed to look as if it was painted is maybe the jacket/coat but all in all this is a fantastic piece of art!

It's a very good likeness. Recognized him right away. Beautiful shadings and highlighting. The arched eyebrow really gives it character.
