Here in the swamps of Florida, we see a Florida redbelly turtle that is looking for a place to nest. Suddenly, she spots a huge mound, which is actually a huge nest of an American alligator. The redbelly turtle heads inside of the nest to lay her own eggs. As the redbelly turtle comes out, the alligator herself spots the turtle and attacks her. Luckily, the redbelly turtle is protected by her shell. But, as she escapes, the alligator leaves a few scars on the turtle's shell. And as for the redbelly turtle eggs, they'll hatch and fend for themselves. Alligator hatchlings ride on the mother's mouth for protection.
