I've been settling scoresI've been fighting so long

Shenandoah races across the cracking ice, desperate to make it to shore because the freezing water claims her, but the shore is far and she doesn't think she will make it.
No context, just a background I got the urge to draw, and I thew Shen in there because I love her. Everything drawn in SAI, most of it several months ago I think. I might redo it sometime and try harder on ice cracking more realistically, but at this point it has been sitting around for so long I just wanted to post it.

I didn't end up doing much of anything today, so I apologize to everyone waiting on me. I will try to catch up on rp starters, uploads, responses, and other notes/comments tomorrow night/Friday.

I have been meaning to comment on this for a while now. Gah, it's so pretty! Shen is definitely my favorite character of yours, and that's saying a lot! You have so many wonderful and well rounded characters. The wolf anatomy in this piece is gorgeous, and it's nice to see you become more and more experimental with your perspectives.
Can't wait to see more.

I am so flattered <3 And thank you, it was hard to draw for sure, but I will continue to try hard on perspectives because I think it is one of my biggest flaws right now!

xD Thank you so much! <3 She was meant to be my dark beauty wolf (not that I would really call her stereotypically beautiful with her big bulkiness and her dragon fangs but I love her just the same xD) And I am glad that you like the bg, I worked hard on it! The angle WAS a challenge, as a matter of fact. xD I was really going for something like of her running but the angle is from the ground, similar to this picture or yours, Deadlock , but after many hours I gave up because I couldn't get it to look right, and I went for the current pose instead because it was easier xD I will try my original pose idea again some other time when I have more skill! But anyway, I am glad it came out well! Thank you!

Wow this is truly beautiful!
I love her position, and it almost looks like you drew in a slightly more realistic style than your usual style! It's incredibly beautiful though, and Shen just looks beautiful as always.
The background is stunning, and very gorgeously simplistic. It really does enhance the mood! The smoke is well done too, there is just enough of it.
The song lyrics are a really nice accompaniment as well! <3

Thank you, I worked hard on it back during the summer! I heard this song and I got personally effected by it and got this image in my head and I just needed to get it out!
