Hi my peeps
Been a long time between uploads for me. I finally have my house back
and I am up to my eyeballs in cleaning, painting and redecorating! Tons of work but so worth it! I cannot believe how wonderful it is to once again have some privacy
Sorry for all the fav and runs but until I make some headway here on the homefront that is going to keep happening. Please forgive and just be happy with me

I photomanip but I do paint some, I am just not very good at it

What type of photomanip do you do? I have not learned how to paint myself and I'm not sure how to get that surreal look. I hope you do not mind sharing your thoughts.

As for what kind of manips I do, I guess I just do what the model inspires me to do.
I do believe in the old axiom "less is more". And I am a bugger for making my own
backgrounds.
I would love to answer any questions you have for me. Maybe you can
be very specific?

I like how your images look like they are painted. They remind me of hdr.......I have been trying to figure out how to get my images to look more surreal, but I'm not sure what steps I need to take.
Do you color correct your images first?
Are you using gaussian blur to soften your images?
I have seen quite a bit of photomanips that looks like paitings, but are not. Would you recomend any tutorials / books.

I don't color correct, but instead will paint over my
subjects to get the colors and tones I want. I use the
gaussian blurr but very carefully. It can blurr the features
to a cartoon flatness that I abhor. So I select the skin and use
it sparingly. I also use a soft brush and go over the skin lightly
with the smudge tool, again very lightly.

I am afraid I am all self taught so I am not sure which of them will help you.

you are pretty good with photoshop..im going to concentrate on background now..trying to get some idea looking at all the stocks thank you for the link..if you have the time could you please let me know how do you put big picture in your journals are they template that you made yourself...

You can add thumbs by copy and paste, but those are small.
The large picture on my page was a gift and I have no idea
how she did it
If you want a journal layout, there are a lot of free ones here on da to use.
Just use the search engine and put in CSS.
