I just absolutely loved this lineart by *YamPuff when I first saw it. When I decided to color it, I was hit with inspiration.

In June, my grandma passed away. Before her death, she had been suffering from Alzheimer's for some time. The toxins from being in dialysis only seemed to make the memory lapses worse. If you've never had to deal with it first hand, you truly cannot understand what a true criminal the disease really is.

The awareness ribbon color for Alzheimer's is purple. Since the angel already had such a forlorn look, I thought that it fit perfectly. It's so reminiscent of how my family and I felt for many months.

I tried to pay more attention to detail with this coloring. I'm trying very hard to hone my coloring skills in PS. There are so many talented colorists here on DA and I wish I could steal their secrets.
