Story:
The day of the Preakness dawned cold and wet and dark. Phoebe was not happy. Please was indifferent to mud and a wet track. He just wanted to run. He could feel the tension as everyone helped prep him for his race. Phoebe desperatly wishes Kat was there. She would have been so proud. Instead Jose was present to represent the horse trainer / owner. She saw Roderick leading DeWitt out to the saddling paddock with Alex right behind the pretty bay colt. At least it had stopped raining. Jose had been constantly checking the skies, ready to scratch at a moments notice. Already the field had dwindled considerably from the Derby. The weather seemed to be chasing everyone away from the race. Phoebe was plenty happy about that. As she spoke with Jose as he helped her withe her leg up onto the back of the broght bay colt. Jose smiled nervously. "Well there is mot a damned thing I could tell you that you do not know eh Phoebe? Just be safe and make sure that you and that horse come back in one seat", Phoebe nodded quickly "As always Jose, I shall see you on the other side!", Phoebe responded. Jose made his way up to the owners booth where he waited nervously for the race to start.
