Inspired by the solar eclipse that took place on Monday (8/21/17) and painted that night. Where I was, there was only a 65% eclipse but my fiance happened to be on the edge of totality and he sent me some pretty spectacular photos! Even at 65% the light became so diffused and eerie.. it was a very cool experience. I can't wait for the next one in 2024!Gouache on watercolor paper. 5.5x8.5in.

This looks awesome! And I agree ... it was erie during the eclipse. The light was off, it got colder ... very spooky.
