It's not widely known but, Alexa is a very proficient commander in space based engagements.

Much of it learned during her years working alongside her adopted father Rico aboard the Pinball Wizard. Having managed to wreck a promising music career in a destructive and high profile way, it was decided keeping a low profile on his high speed courier was a wise move.

However, he expected Alexa to change her self destructive behaviour and learn about command.

She did so, to a point where she was as at home on the bridge of a capital ship as she was in the cockpit of a transorbital cutter.
