For those of you who have read our first book, Between the Devil and the Dark, you may recognize Agent Four and Nemesis. Four is a no-nonsense type, who executes the Imperium's dirtier deeds, keeping his personal feelings in check. Today, though not as distasteful as some of his missions, is nevertheless unpleasant, as it requires evicting a Felyan merchant fleet from Imperium space for contraband violations. The fleet head, however, is unaware that she will be going home far less happy than she is now, thinking the meeting was a thinly veiled offer for a date.

Considering Nemesis's presence (Why bring her on a date?), it's clear that she's not the cleverest person in matters outside of money.
