Xiao is the setting for many Wild Space Saga adventures: an industrial world that is well on the way to becoming a massive ecumenopolis. Continent-size cities cover the planet's main landmasses, and have become a hive for criminal activity run by Yakuza and Triads in spite of the Second Imperium's draconian regime, which has been reduced to mere nominality on the planet's surface. Lofty penthouses serve as refuges for the extravagantly wealthy, while the lower levels host the seediest of dives and illicit markets, as well as pleasure houses run by Felyan guilds that tolerate nearly every decadent act. But there is adventure to be had and riches to be won in Xiao's labyrinthine alleys.
