My Sustainable Ag. course is over and I can finally get back to drawing!
I've been wanting to draw something up to use as a cover for my Eclipse profile for a while now, so on the spur of the moment, I made this!
Quite the departure from my usual "cartoon" style, huh?
This is how I imagin Thyralu would look like in real life and it was a lovely change of pace.
Only problem is that Eclipse anchors the cover on the left side, so if the window is too small it crops out everything but the rear end.
Oh well, I had planned on making another image like this anyway.
Now all that's left is to draw a new reference sheet with this style.

Thank you! ^^ The reference I used was really fluffy, so that's how it ended up. XD
Thyralu have always looked this way for me, I just haven't drawn them like this before. The subspecies is supposed to be a perfect hybrid, a seamless combination - a wolf with dragon features rather than a mashup between the two, literally Canus lupus dracus. ;D
Eventually I'll get around to drawing up a guide to the subspecies to set them apart from other dragon-wolf hybrids, as well as the other tribes that make up the species. Swifty here hails from the Tribe of Earth, which is the most wolf-like of the four groups. The Tribe of Fire is more dog-like due to their relationship with humans, the Tribe of Wind is more coyote-like, and the Tribe of Water is more fox-like.
