Thank you! I found it very touching that they were in the parade, because I am an Eagle Scout, and I loved all the skills I acquired and camping trips I went on as a scout and as a scout leader. I came out of the closet about a year and a half ago, and that was when I was no longer allowed to participate. Now that the policy has changed, I'm planning on looking at where I can volunteer for a local secular troop, since most religiously chartered troops still don't allow gay adults to volunteer.

Me too! Life is so much better when you're not living for the sole purpose of meeting the expectations of other people and unseen deities from religious texts. I've got a great fiancΓ© and a great bunch of future in-laws, and life is good
