Description While I did finish some requests for friends, I really have been stuck in a creative rut for a while, since the death of my grandfather and an issue with my immediate family regarding communication. Yesterday, in the midst of listening to some music that usually drives me into creating something, I nearly cried in frustration as I sorted through my Aiko 3 folder, looking for something inspiring based on an image I had been studying earlier. Since I had an Eastern style in mind (Japanese, specifically), I loaded my Luna character and kitbashed an outfit together.

I really didn't spend a whole lot of time on the props here. The texture of the main outfit was blue, but I decided to switch to my mainstay pink. Pink and purple really speak to me for some reason; they're powerful, vivid colors and as some of you know, I'm all about vivid colors

The boots were a problem. There is a reason they came fully textured with all sorts of detail: the folds and lines aren't at all prominent. Luna was rendered in UE2 with indirect light and the boots completely washed out. So, I rendered another layer in UE2 with occlusion only, to get some shadows to show. This layer was set to 25% and even then, I had to draw in some lines and folds on her righthand boot. Seriously, these boots rendered as if they glowed. There was nothing I could do to get them toned down in UE2.

This marks the longest render I have ever produced in DS3A with UE2, on my six-core box. 1 1/2 hours render time. I even applied UberSurface to the hair and turned off raytracing. This hair is a killer on render times, but it looks *so* good. I added a little glint to the sword tip.

I came to the conclusion this past March that my character Felicia is my muse. However, Luna occasionally vies for the coveted spot. When she wins, she wins in spades. Luna is the type of character I would have a full scale model of in my home. I think this would look good on my door or something....... What do you think?

She seems very celestial. So, the glowing is quite appropriate. It fits together.

Should have seen those boots before the post work, they had no definition to them at all, it was as if I cut the outlines from a sheet of paper lol
Glad you like it

That's the thing, there is no texture lol The texture was really nice, but it didn't suit my needs. The model was a problem, as it really didn't have much to it. But they were a must for her

In interesting image, and yes, pink and purple are awesome. I frequently use that color combination.

Although blue is my favorite, I tend to use reds, purples and pinks when distressed. I won't get into the "why"
