A week or so ago, I shared a painting I saw on Facebook, and my dear friend wanted to see if I could work my magic with her Virtual Sonya as an interpretation of the image. This is the result

This marks my first real attempt at painting an element into one of my renderings, from scratch. I painted the whip! The whip handle was rendered, but the whip itself was painted from scratch It's supposed to look a bit uneven because it's a leather strap

I used six lights here: A UE2 light at 40%, three stock distant for specular, and a distant on either side for some blue light. I had some major difficulties with UberSurface, so I stuck with the default shader and squeezed all I could out of it. The background is a very simple gradient.
