Hey there and thank you for downloading and looking at XTRO Ghosts and Shadows. This is the latest installment for the Project Zhukov Universe, of which the rest can be found here -
thezhukovau.wordpress.com/ and for this one I wanted to do something different and so I took a step back in history.
The Terran Hegemony and House Cameron occupy a place in the lore where they’re generally viewed in a positive light. After all they formed the Star League and brought peace to the
Inner Sphere, as well as helped shape the Ares Accords, and gave the setting the BattleMech.
But, the bloom comes off the Cameron Rose when you look closer, yes, they created the Star League, this in turn kicked off the Reunification Wars, yes they helped with the Ares Accords,
which legalized Warfare and made it endemic to the Inner Sphere. Like any of the Great Houses, the Director Generals would do whatever was needed to remain in power. From enacting
laws to enshrine the Cameron bloodline as the only leaders of the Hegemony, to unfortunate accidents, or black ops attacks. Because like any Empire, we romanticize them, whilst glossing
over the acts they took to remain in power.
And I wanted to do something like that with House Cameron, and so was born the idea for a black-ops unit that was fanatically loyal to the Hegemony and would do whatever was
needed to ‘deal’ with problems.
