I was out the back when I saw these lights in the distance... so I ran down to the beach to capture it. That little thing up the top is the moon.Related content

That's a great question and I don't think I ever really thought of that
Truth be told.. I'm not quite sure why there weren't any visible stars. It may have been because it was not yet dark enough to see them as the sun was still setting. At least the moon was visible

Thanks... I guess I was pretty lucky with the way this one turned out. Had I known about the manual setting on my camera at the time though, I think this would have been much more vibrant.

Another stunning shot. You can see the shadow of the moon, thats amazing. Wonderful colors with in this peice, oh man how I wish I could see a sight like that in person.

perfect capture of those levels that sunsets create. the moon is easier to capture but the strange moonphase that its in makes this shot really really interesting, i had to stare at the image for like 10 minutes. great work!
