You shouldn't need to stop when approaching a signal with these colored lights but you do need to proceed with caution because these lights can warn you of something up ahead. These can also be seen on raised median islands in the road to let you know of a raised median, and there are at least two locations in Tucson with this kind of light on raised medians:

Both of these are at railroad crossings!

Sometimes these will flash only when needed and other times these will continually flash 24-7. Either way, use caution when approaching and passing these yellow lights.
