Description
Try clicking your mouse to to spread the particles out.I'm testing out the speed of AS3 using BitmapData to render 8,000 particles.
Try making them spin clockwise, I dare you

This is an absolutely incredible piece, and personally, I think you've outdone yourself. I was amused for a long time with this, and though I'm not too fond of the colors, the way they merge in and out was quite interesting. With the way it circulates around your mouse was also mesmerizing. I'm sure it took you a very long time to get this right, and all that hard work must have paid off, because I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks about this Deviation like this. I must congratulate you on this, and keep up the good work.

As with your previous works, it exhibits a simplistic beauty that's both easy to understand yet engrossing to the senses.
The flash runs smoothly, the physics engine doesn't appear to have glitches, and despite being so mundane in creation it's genuinely fun to tinker with.
Personal recommendation I would have is to add a menu to adjust the physics values, such as particle count, rotational constant, maybe even color.
As far as the eye candy goes, I know you said you made this as a test of pixel based particle physics, but if you added an alpha fade to generate a glow effect on them that would definitely add a new dimension, but it would likely increase the number of calculations required and thus make the flash toy more processor heavy.
You do good work, keep it up.

Thanks a lot for the critique I was close to adding sliders and stuff, but this was just for fun, I'm working on far bigger projects which makes good use of BitmapData.
As for the alpha fade, I presume you mean something like this? [link] I don't think it would have been too much slower, but it would have made it less bright seeing as there's only 8000 particles (as opposed to 100,000 which was used in those examples), and my code isn't efficient enough to run that many
Thanks again

yeah, that's exactly what I meant by alpha fade, and the increased processor load is exactly why I figured it was just wishful thinking.

i think i somehow managed to gather all 8k particles in a single dot-like state and than managed to spin it clockwise. i thought it was impossible maybe some malfunction in the codes after clicking soo many times?
