What a lovely photograph! You know, for the longest time I had no idea that snowflakes actually looked like that, I thought they were just portrayed that way in cartoons in a similar way to how starts in the night sky are sometimes portrayed with five points. I was pretty surprised when I realised some few years ago that snowflakes do in fact form in those unique shapes! Of course, I've lived in Australia almost my entire life so I've never really seen snowflakes up close and personal.
