On the right is my taller version of Zim, and on the left is normal Zim. This is to show you how tall he has grown, whether he got that tall naturally, or he artificially made himself taller.You decide!

If I'm allowed to throw in my own thought...
What if the height difference isn't something completely natural? What if Earth's gravitational force is lighter than the one on Irk? And this caused Zim's body to stretch during his time on Earth...

But can we say the same thing for any other Irken invaders that are off their own planet? Like the one Irken on planet Vos, or or the female oneΒ in planet Mekkrob? What about the chief from "The Frycook who came from outer space" , would his height be the resort of Foddcortia's powerful gravity force?Β (and his diet?)

But if they grow taller, their invader jobs would be given to a shorter irken and themselves be promoted to do a higher ranking job. The taller you are, the more prestigious you are. They would think that his/her talents would be wasted if they remained right?
And if they shrink, the invader would probally be further ignored and isolated. Like a silent banishment, or put in as a KIA invader.
On Zim's case however, he was already being ignored (somewhat) by the tallests already. So the change would be less noticeable and unacknowledged right?
Besides, how long has Zim been on Earth anyway? Could just be a long term affect thing... Or, like you said, a reaction to the food that he refuses to eat?
I apologize for the ramble, and don't feel like I'm insulting you! I'm just throwing out some ideas and outputs of mine...
