Description The falcon is the basis for all my art. Along her swift wings, my pencil begins, creating the lines on the paper that will become a completed piece. She is my prime inspiration, and shows herself in three ways:

The Falcon of Nobility. She is the embodiment of grace, strength, honor. In all my work, she whispers the words of magnificence and excellence, telling me never to settle for second best.

The Falcon of Rage. Her poweful wings and flashing eyes symbolize fury, aggression, passion. When trying to portray the ferocity of a figure, face, or event, she is there.

The Falcon of Mystery. Glowing blue and radiating light, she seems to slip right through my fingers, and into my piece, spreading her watercolor-wings throughout the paper. She is the magic in my work.

All three fly, perpetually intertwined in my mind, in my heart and hand, in a moonlit sky of perpetual twilight. If ever I feel at a loss for inspiration, I merely look up to their rushing wings.

Beautiful and skillful renderings of your spirit animal in all of her glorious versions. Colored pencil? Gads! That just makes the picture even more amazing to me.

Gwaaa, beautiful muses you have there. < 3 Always wonderful to have a well of strength and to know where to find it.

I adore your coloring...the blues and the grays look so calm together, and really gives everything a mystical feel. And of course, wonderful job with your falcons...the details of the feathers are so lovely. <3 <3 And I admire the way you were able to pose them so differently, too; the composition is wonderful, both tranquil and sort of exploding with energy and sharpness. (The tips of the wings...hehehe.) Gorgeous.

Great peice. Majestic animals of prey, I say animals cause it seems wierd to call them birds, and alow the clasification that puts them on par with pidgeons and Bugies.

Yeah, I know what you mean - in grade school, the other kids used to make fun of my love for falcons, and would be like, "hey! I'm a falcon! CAW! CAW!" Comparing a falcon to a crow -_- fools...

So, I just call them raptors ^_^ Then I can smack stupid people when they call then dinosaurs.

oooh the first thing that caught my eye was the shape that haze around them made and the wings. Its amazing the mix of mediums in this. You've really blended the three together well with the coloring and the posing of each. All those speckles in the wings...I'm in awe. It's lovely and a beautiful look at what inspires you. I can't think of a better totem for *windfalcon . Good luck in the contest

Thank you for the kind words and wishing of luck! ^____^ I know yours is going to look spectacular when you complete it for the contest, too ^^
