This year I'm participating in Operation Gaia again, and the theme I chose was "Nest". I should be able to share the finished painting soon, but for now, here is the toned paper sketch I did.Graphite and white charcoal on toned gray paper, 9X12 inches.

This is so beautiful! The dark and light of the graphite and charcoal creates a silvery appearance that is very elegant looking. Those details are incredible, and I agree that this piece has a lot of emotion. Wonderful work!
