Description
I had an itch to work on some finished pencil pieces (not just sketches). Here is a prairie falcon referenced from a photo I took at a recent falconry meet.9X12 inches on Bristol.
This piece is for sale - it is $75 with free U.S. shipping. If interested, comment or send me a note.

Your birds are amazing!
I don't know if you can answer this question, but I want to know the difference between hawks and falcons. I have tried to research it, but nothing I have found seems to explain it adequately. I even have a book about birds and their habitats, and it didn't help. Other than some species being hawks and some being falcons, I don't know what the actual difference is. Each species looks different, but none of them look as different as say, an eagle and a hawk.

Sorry to butt in since this question wasn't addressed to me. But if you happen to be a bit of a gamer the YouTube Channel 'TierZoo' is a goldmine of knowledge on animal and evolutionary biology as well as some history/geology packaged in a ridiculously fun way. Anyway, I've been binging his video's lately and your question was covered in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyLl3K… (around 3:40) So check it out if you're interested!

What a beauty. I love how much detail you put into the feathers
especially.

I really do admire how you're able to draw and paint feathers without them become a jumbled mess. You're brilliant at what you do
