My entry for November for the RARE 2014 Anthro Calendar: Pre-orders are open! I will also have these with me at FurFright and Midwest FurFest.

Once a year, families from all across the United States (and Canada!) come together to share a meal and remember to be thankful for all they have. Sometimes this is the only time they see each other, since aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews live so far away. Human families tend to have a feast featuring a roast turkey, but this family of turkeys and chickens is of course having a much different meal!

On this table we have a large platter of various vegetables, nuts and seeds, acorn soup, bug juice, and of course, Aunt Penny's famous Cricket Casserole. Mrs. Turkey is just bringing a steaming plate of corn on the cob, and Mr. Turkey will begin slicing the bounty and serving the guests...if his son doesn't devour everything on the table first!

I took a bit of subconscious inspiration from Norman Rockwell and his holiday paintings, particularly his take on Thanksgiving . I wanted that warm feeling of a family united around the table, with each member having his or her own distinct personality.
