What is the better day to publish someone's portrait than the birthday of the subject of the picture? So I decided to use this opportunity to return to DA (though perhaps only temporary) with a few pictures I've drawn during the last few months.

And here's the birthday boy, James May of Top Gear.

Top Gear is my current obsession (and has been for about half a year), and I've drawn each presenter, but this pic of Captain Slow was the 1st in that series of drawings, so it's only fitting that he goes here first.

The picture was finished somewhere in October-November 2010, and since then James had his hair cut. And the hair was the reason why I decided to draw him in the first place (along with all those flowery shirts). James, you really must let it grow back!

Oh yeah, and happy birthday, mr. May.
