Working both on anatomy and a quicker method to drawAltogether this took me abt 45min-hour from start to finish, which is REALLY fast for me because I usually spend longer than that just on the lineart. Someday I'll learn to do those sloppy 5-brush stroke paintings that somehow convey awesome amazing detail, I swear to god...
Anyway.
This is Arden, a new chara of mine. I just wanted to draw this for the sake of showcasing the seal on his back.
Arden is a (named) demon, but understandably he doesn't typically go by that name. :I
Yeah I'm pretty obsessed with him right now but I'll spare his story for another time.

It may just be my serious weakness for the backs, especially shoulders, of men.

And like I said, that short amount of time was definitely a milestone for me, haha. For example, I started another pic immediately afterwards... and I'm still sketching it. I'm the slowest worker on earth.

Abs are nice and all..
but shoulder blades.
Muscles.
UGH.

LOL. It takes me like. An hour maybe for just the lines.
And then I color in two point two.
But I don't know how to shade :c

The lineart usually takes me the longest because I use the pen tool, and when I use the pen tool I get into mega OCD perfectionist mode. :I Like drawing 3000 pieces of fur and tapering every line, haha.
My tablet is too cheapo to draw freehand. BUT I scribbled the lines out on this one, haha. Just on a gigantic canvas so it sort of looks neat... sort of. That was my secret :K
