A bit clumpsy, Lucy tried to get to her feet. As she streched one leg out to get up, she realized, that they were black as well. Now her impatience was awake as well as she heard her fathers impatient, urging snort. Lucy decided to get up and jumped to her feet. With one leap she was outside the sheltering bushes and on the sand but her legs seemed to have decided not to work just yet, and Lucy's front-legs buckeled onto the sandy ground.

She could not stay here - on the bare beach to be seen by everyone, with everyone not only meaning the dangerous wild animals lurking around. Not even thinking of the possibility that the flood coul
