Description As the title says: A self portrait. This is me, Windmaedchen.
Mostly done to practice using colours but also to get likelyness done successfully. So hard! D:
Did this in about 5 hours. Or was it 6? Far to long anyways.

Awesome skills. I can never get digital paintings look like anything. Your portrait is nice because it's not entirely photorealistic. You have amplified all the details and lines and there's a "gap" between the details, making them appear more strongly. So it's a bit "cartoony". I like it.

Did your mom not like how you look and made suggestions for improvements? Looking good.

I could never get it look like photorealism and it wasn't (and will be) evermy intention. xD I like this a lot because it is so painterly (if that is a word.. xD).
With that in mind I had changed some things (or drew them like that in the first place) in order to make it to look better. (like symmetry and smoother skin and less wrinkles, not very detailed areas in order to make the brain fillin the gaps and that sort of things) But my mother said 'that chin' doesn't look like yours and your eyes aren't as dark and such little things. I changed them because of course in the end those tiny things make me look like me. And it was good practice.

Thanks! It was a lot of work. It is soooo hard to draw someone. D: But somehow I did it. Next time though I'll do it better. Still to many things my mother wanted me to change. xD

No problem! You did do it, and I think you did great! Yes, there is always room for improvement. lol. Moms always have a certain image of their children, you know. They want their pictures/self-portraits to be just right.
