Done.I know that there are issues… all of which I want to address and correct in CG Holmes v2. But as this version stands and was available and had it’s keys animated, I decided to at least bring it to some final rendered state, despite the inaccurate rig and broken shoulder. xD
All of this is a first for me, as I haven't worked in CG before... so I am happy and proud of this despite all it’s faults. :3
This is of course Clive Merrison as Sherlock Holmes, from the BBC Radio Adaptations. Don’t you think the design and his voice go well together?
And … how awesome would it be to have the episodes be accompanied by animation?

Oh, thanks! I haven't animated someone laughing before, so I am glad you think it's ok. Holmes has some great laughs in this radio adaptation, I am sure I get chance to animate some more of it.

Looks just like one of your drawings come to life! Well done on getting the texture/colour just right. The movement is very smooth and lifelike, too, with very nice extremes.

Exactly! Now, if I have trouble to draw a certain pose I can just pose my 3D Holmes and take that as reference. XD hahaha
thanks. My animation skills are a bit rusty but it's not too bad it seems.

THIS IS AMAZING! CHARMING! AND THE VOICE FITS HIM SO WELL!
I don't really see any problems with the animation but I've probably been playing too many old games... XD

Whoa, nice. Fantastic. Yeah, it's got quirks and bugs, but my goodness... I don't see stuff done even this well all that often. Especially not Holmes-based, heh. So all I can say is that you get a round of hearty applause and an Earl Grey cake. Yep.

Yay, cake! Thanks! Yeah, I needed to get this out in order to move on and advance... But that's okay, it is an accurate depiction of my skills and knowledge in that field nonetheless. It's little, but that's fine. Next time, I'll do It better!

Hehehe, yeah, I hope I can work on some more animation, too. :3 I'll certainly share it with you, if I do.

That's amazing!! I bet the old Basil Rathbone audio would be fun to animate too

Thanks!
I love Basil Rathbone but... I don't think the audio is good enough, quality wise. If you where thinking of the radio plays, that is.

That's very true. Some of the later episodes get a little better, if you don't count Nigel Bruce's cute li'l mumbles!

And yes, little is the word. xD It's way to short. I want to see 45 minutes of this! xD Just a bother that I'd have to do it all myself... xDDD

Can not help to not agree with you. Making something is just so long when you want to make much of that something. I know this, too.

Holmes seems greatly amused by Watson's observation!! The voice and the animation are absolutely hand-in-glove!!
Well done!!!

Thank you. :3 It's been great fun to work to Merrison's voice. xD I hope Version 2 of Holmes will be better from a technical point of view (which it should really, I mean, I learn all the time) and then I want to make more animations. .... well... that is the plan, but we all know ... that plans are not necessarily going to work. xD Let's try though!

Very nice
What program did you use? I see a lot of CG characters made by people and I woder how they did it, especially if they're not professional.

Thanks! I used Blender. It's a free open-source software and incredible powerful... in fact, a lot of professionals have switched from Maya and Co. to Blender... so ... it really is a good choice to try out if you wanted to do some CG stuff.
